SEO

First and foremost, we recommend using Google Adwords before doing SEO.

The benefit to doing this is that you get to work out which keyword searches in Google are your most profitable, then you can target those keywords using SEO.

Search Engine Optimisation is an Investment

Some business owners see SEO as a form of advertising, and it is to a certain degree, however there is one key difference, you see, as your website starts popping up in Google for more your industry related “search phrases” – the amount of visitors to your website will increase month on month, although your monthly SEO fee remains the same, your website visits are forever increasing. Making it one of the greatest investments in the advertising world.

You Need to be Top 10 (or nothing at all)

80% of Clicks that occur in Google – HAPPEN ON THE FIRST PAGE!!

So if you are not on the first page for your industry in your location e.g. “plumber parramatta” then you are probably getting next to nothing in terms of traffic and leads.

There is a little riddle that fits this situation well…

“Where is the best place to hide a dead body?”

“On the second page of Google.”

Beware of Guaranteed Results

Some Search Marketing companies that claim “guaranteed results” or “guaranteed rankings” have a very sneaky way of voiding their Guarantee. The way it works is – if you are a Legal Company, the Agency will say to you “I guarantee you will get results or you won’t pay a cent” – so then they go out and rank you for “lawyer for divorced males” (a search phrase that has very low Search Volume in Google) which is very easy to rank for – that will then void their guarantee… meanwhile your “results” are still pending.

So make sure when an Web Marketing company says they will “get guaranteed results” – that you will be ranking for solid high volume search phrases like “lawyer in Sydney”.
